Description:
As a senior member of the engineering team, you would provide technical leadership in all phases of the project lifecycle including analysis, design, development and support. Drive results and arrive at technical solutions quickly. Be able to thrive on a small team in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Play a hands-on implementation role, writing new code and refactoring existing code. Be an expert troubleshooter to resolve technical problems.
You could also gain in-depth technical knowledge in: Java, C++, MPEG, TCP, UDP, IP, Multicast, IGMP, RTP, RTSP, SNMP, HTTP, SSL. Spring, XML/XSD/DOM/SAX, JUnit, test driven development, message driven and service-oriented architecture, Windows is our main development platform, some Linux. You would also learn about our proprietary systems and encouraged to develop new systems that are also patentable.
Our software solutions are unique, we are not a classic J2EE client-server model. Our platform is essentially a stand-alone installed application.

- Excellent Java skills, C++ and willing to quickly learn Java - C# experience a plus
- Expert design and implementation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong knowledge of networking basics
- Knowledge of MPEG and streaming is a huge plus - This is what we do every day!
- Shipped at least two consumer products
- Sense of humor
