Description:
A Los Angeles based Aerospace company is currently in urgent need of a Junior systems administrator who can be in charge of all of their classified servers and projects.
The junior IT position in a mixed Windows XP/2000 and Linux/UNIX environment.
Duties include safeguarding data by performing backups and implementing fault tolerant storage solutions such as RAID; hardware installation, upgrades, diagnosis and repair; TCP/IP networking. Familiarity with Linux system administration and firewalls, web, mail and FTP server configuration a plus. Additional duties include enforcing a system security plan and performing weekly audits per DSS NISPOM requirements for classified computer systems. Must be available to handle occasional emergencies, such as powering up servers early in the morning or over the weekend after a power outage.
