Description:
A growing scientific association, know for their efforts to apply different areas of science to enhance everyday life for over 60 years, is looking for a Network Engineer for their Washington, DC headquarters. The Network Engineer will be working on a team that is responsible for the overall network security of the association's worldwide users.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

--Experience with networking devices such as the installation and configuration of Cisco routers and switches.

--Previous work with network monitoring tools such as CiscoWorks or HPOpenview to monitor the network for alarms in order to assure the highest levels of availability at all times.

--Extensive experience configuring and implementing firewalls including, but not limited to, the Cisco PIX and ASA series, Checkpoint, Netscreen, and SonicWALL devices.

--Prior experience monitoring and reporting security exposures and educating employees on security risks.

--Certifications such as CISSP, or GIAC are a plus, but not a must for this position.
