Description:
Our client, a recognized leader in their field by major business publications, is looking for a new Chief Information Officer for their Springfield, Virginia headquarters. This company works with the federal government in three major ways; supporting federal counter terrorism efforts, federal environmental cleanup efforts, and federal management analysis. The Chief Information Officer will not only be leading the team that is responsible for maintaining the IT infrastructure of the company, which spans over 14 different sites across the globe, but will also be expected to work alongside the team members performing IT administration tasks as well.
The ideal Chief Information Officer will have experience with the following:
--Implementing and maintaining servers in a Microsoft environment, specifically Active Directory, Exchange, IIS, and SQL.
--Migrating mail servers from one version of Exchange to another, as well as implementing new mail systems.
--Troubleshooting connectivity issues that originate in off-site locations.
--Working with a team of engineers to resolve network issues in a high pressure environment.
--Researching new technologies and preparing documentation for new implementations across the company.
--Performing typical management tasks such as determining a budget for an IT department, conducting performance reviews for employees, and vendor relations.
